About the Owner, Blayke

Blayke Austin is the owner and trainer at Professional Pups Dog Training. After earning her Bachelor’s Degree in Health Sciences from The Ohio State University in 2015, Blayke discovered her passion for helping owners build better communication and stronger relationships with their dogs through training.

 

Blayke graduated from the Master Trainer Course at the National K-9 School for Dog Trainers in 2016 and continues to pursue education focused on real-life behavior, communication, and relationship-based training. Her goal is to help owners create calmer, less frustrating lives with their dogs through clear structure, trust, and consistency.

Blayke is Pet CPR Certified, a member of the International Association of Canine Professionals and the National K-9 Dog Trainers Association, and an AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator.​​​

Maple

Maple is a young, high-energy Siberian Husky who brings a fun and playful approach to training at Professional Pups. She has helped Blayke expand her training tools and methods, especially when it comes to engagement and motivation. Maple shows that trained dogs don’t have to be boring. They can be focused, responsive, and still full of personality. Her favorite way to work is through toy-based training and interactive play where she really gets to shine.

Freya

Freya is a Siberian Husky and Blayke’s Demo Dog at Professional Pups. She earned this role after completing the Master Trainer Course at the National K-9 School for Dog Trainers with Blayke. Freya also passed the AKC Canine Good Citizen test. She plays an important role in training demonstrations and is often used to show what’s possible with clear structure and consistent training. As a Husky, she enjoys challenging the stereotype that her breed can’t be reliable off leash.

Riley

Riley is a 15 year old Dachshund and Blayke’s original inspiration for pursuing dog training. He had his first training experience with a graduate of the National K-9 School for Dog Trainers, which led Blayke to follow her passion and attend the same program. Now Riley is happily retired and enjoys a slower pace of life at home. He occasionally makes appearances at the facility, where he’s a crowd favorite, but most days he prefers naps and a quiet routine, enjoying his well-earned retirement.
